CIRDDOC, Nigeria is widely recognised for its advocacy work in the country to improve public policy and keep women’s issues in the hearts and minds of decision-makers, donor agencies and partners. The strategic direction and goals are CIRDDOC’s response to its understanding of what its clients value most about the organisation, and current opportunities and challenges for offering a high-quality system of support in the country for the target beneficiaries.

OUR APPROACH AND PROGRAM FOCUS
At CIRDDOC, our core approaches to pursue reform interventions and furthering the interests of our stakeholders are change model demonstration, capacity/institutional building, and empirical research. We will use our vast field knowledge to motivate our stakeholders to support human rights, access to justice, democracy, and good governance in order to implement and strengthen change.

We organized our program activities into three sub-thematic areas in order to realize our mission, which are as follows:

CIRDDOC operates offices in Enugu, Anambra, Ebonyi, and Abuja, with a nationwide mandate to implement its programs across Nigeria. Additionally, it has established 15 Community Information Centres (CICs) in three states, providing citizens with access to vital information. Governance is overseen by a Board of Trustees composed of men and women, supported by an Academic Advisory Council and an Executive Committee. The organization’s daily operations are led by an Executive Director. CIRDDOC actively collaborates with like-minded organizations and is a member of over 30 coalitions and networks, reinforcing its commitment to impactful program implementation.
