Meet our Distinguished Board Members
At CIRDDOC, our Board of Trustees plays a vital role in guiding our mission to promote and protect human rights, women’s rights, gender equity, and good governance. Their leadership, expertise, and commitment ensure we remain steadfast in empowering civil society, enhancing access to justice, and advocating for the rule of law.

Prince (Engr.) Ralph Ndigwe, Jp
Prince (Engr.) Ralph Ndigwe, JP, is a seasoned engineer with over 40 years of experience in the public and private sectors. He holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and is a member of professional engineering societies. With a strong background in transportation and business management, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership in driving growth and innovation. Fluent in multiple languages, Prince Ndigwe brings a global perspective to his work and contributions.

Ral Nwankwo-Obioha
Ral Nwankwo-Obioha is an international lawyer and human rights advocate with extensive experience working with various international organizations. A passionate champion for gender equality and women’s empowerment, she has dedicated her career to serving vulnerable communities. She holds a Juris Doctor from Howard University School of Law and an LL.M. in International Human Rights Law (Summa Cum Laude) from American University. A practicing U.S. immigration attorney, she has been featured on CNN, Al Jazeera, Fox, and CBS and has guest lectured at Yale and Columbia on human rights and immigration issues.

Mercedeh (Merce) Momeni
Mercedeh (Merce) Momeni is a senior attorney and litigator with over 30 years of experience in international law, governance, and social justice. She has worked with U.N. tribunals, advised global organizations, and led democracy programs. A former DOJ attorney and author, she has investigated human rights violations in Darfur and remains committed to advocating for civil rights and women’s empowerment. She is the recipient of multiple U.S. Departments of Justice and Housing and Development awards.

Lady Azuka Azinge
Lady Azuka Azinge, a seasoned legal professional, made history as the first female and first South-Easterner Registrar of the Corporate Affairs Commission. She holds a BA in Philosophy/History and an LLB from the University of Lagos and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1989. With a diverse career spanning private practice, civil society, and international development, she launched the Women’s Prison Project at the Civil Liberties Organization and worked with the Ford Foundation, CIDA, and UNDP.

Uzoma Nwankwo MBA, PMP, CISSP, CEH
Uzo Nwankwo is a cybersecurity expert and CEO of CYSAFE SAFE, a government consulting firm specializing in cybersecurity services for federal agencies. He began his career providing IT consulting for the World Bank before spending 11 years as a senior IT consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton. He brings extensive expertise in IT and cybersecurity to his work.

Dr. Obiageli Nwankwo-Otti
Dr. Oby Nwankwo-Otti is a public health expert with over 20 years of experience in health policy and clinical research. Born in the U.S. and raised in Nigeria, she holds a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Eastern Mennonite University and advanced degrees in Public Health from New York Medical College. She excels in Global Clinical Operations at a leading pharmaceutical company and serves on several boards. Passionate about cancer research and community service, she enjoys baking, reading, music, and time with loved ones.

Sarah Gavigan
Sarah Gavigan is an experienced immigration attorney dedicated to defending unaccompanied children and families against deportation. Born and raised in the Bay Area, she holds a B.A. in Peace and Conflict Studies from UC Berkeley and a J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law. She has previously worked with CIRDDOC in Nigeria, ProBAR in Texas, and now CARECEN SF as part of the San Francisco Immigrant Legal Defense Collaborative.
