Our Team

CIRDDOC presently has staff strength of twenty two, 2 Youth Corpers and 2 volunteers at its headquarters in Enugu. The staff is mostly graduates and post graduate level with experience in the fields of law, Social Sciences, Education and Information Science.

CIRDDOC practices equal opportunities in employment. The breakdown of permanent staff include 1 Executive Director, 1 Project Coordinator/Special Assistant to ED, 2 Programme Officers (Legal), 1 Legal officer, 2 Programme Officers (Programmes), 1 Programme Officer (Media and Publicity), 1 Programme Officer (Admin), 1 Administrative Secretary, 1 Programme Assistant, 1 Office Assistant/Receptionist, 1 Library Officer, 2 Programme Officers (Finance and Accounts), 1 Accounts Clerk, 2 Cleaners, 2 Security Officers, 2 Drivers.

There are also 4 CIRDDOC Pro bono lawyers who provide free legal services to clients. In its branch offices in Abuja FCT, Awka Anambra State and Abakaliki, Ebonyi State. CIRDDOC has three full-time staff each comprising two Programme Officers, one office administrator.

CIRDDOC also runs 15 Community Information Centres in three states. Each of the centres is run by trained Development Information Officer, ten Civic Educators and one Paralegal. In addition, CIRDDOC has a good pool of volunteers and associates with diverse background mostly located in the communities of Enugu, Anambra and Ebonyi States.

BOARD MEMBERS

At the apex of our decision making structure is the six member Board of directors of three men and three women supported by a four member Advisory Board. The Board is charged with the responsibility of:

Setting directions for the organisation,

  1. Fund mobilisation,
  2. Approval of financial plans;
  3. Ensuring adequacy and prudent management of resources,
  4. Adopting major organizational policies,
  5. Ensuring compliance,
  6. Promoting and publicizing the organization’s work. The Board meets once a year.

 

The role of the Advisory Board is advisory and they meet once a year to review projects and offer advice on next steps. The Executive Director heads the core of the day-to-day operations of the organization and is supported by a Technical Adviser. At the next level is the Administrative Manager who takes care of personnel and administrative matters; the Operations Manager who works with the different teams to manage the projects of the organization. The Accountant working with an accounts clerk and a Book manager ensures that the funds (General accounts and Project Accounts) are well secured and disbursed only in line with approved budgets.
